sometimes loneliness latches on to me like a parasite and i carry it around like it’s a sickness.

it comes on without any warning and sometimes i don’t even realize that it’s there for a little while.

but it’s there. and it slowly takes over. until it cripples and knocks me out and takes me down for the count.

being alone is fine. more than fine.

being alone is the only way i really know how to live.

but being lonely is a completely different thing.

loneliness is a dead weight that hangs in your heart.
